Lee Ann Daniels wants to escape her past. Since the incident at Thief’s Hollow where she helped souls to crossover, she has gained a reputation. Curiosity seekers are seeking her out and she wants to get out of the town of Laverne. Although she desires to go to art school, her parents insist on sending her to a prestigious liberal arts college called Farthington, tucked away in the remote hills of Tennessee. As this spirit identifies with Lee Ann the disturbances intensify as Lee Ann continues to be an object of ridicule.

With the help of her old friends, Felicity, Jasmine, David, and Katrina and her newfound friend, Connor, she realizes she must solve a mystery surrounding Cassie’s tragic death. First, she must overcome the anger that clouds her ability to help others.
